David MCCarthy

CEO and founder

David has a rich pedigree in Consultancy, Strategic Development and Feasibility Studies. Prior to setting up Yellow Harbour, David headed up teams to develop strategies for Motorola, BT Plc and Coillte. Under his stewardship, Yellow Harbour has developed Strategic Plans and Feasibility Studies for both national and local not for profit organisations, charities and voluntary bodies such as the HSE, SBHI, AMEN, Cork Mental Health etc. David set up Yellow Harbour with the primary goal of bringing the best practices from the commercial world to the not for profit sector. His technical expertise is the bedrock of developing solutions for the various organisations within the not for profit sector / charity and Healthcare sectors. David has also worked with multiple private and public organisation both in the Ireland and the UK to develop and deliver compliance and risk assessment policies and procedures for these organisations. Yellow Harbour was established for the sole purpose of delivering world-class business and technology solutions to the not for profit sector at affordable costs.



Louise joined the Board in 2017 and has over 18 years’ experience within the not for profit sector and has been integral to setting up, managing and rolling out Governance, Fundraising Standards and CRA and Charities Act 09 Compliance in all the not for profits that she has been involved with. She also has extensive experience in executing Fundraising Audits, developing Income Generation strategies and creating and delivering Strategic Plans for charities, not for profits and voluntary organisations experiencing growth and change. Louise has been involved in the strategic development and sustainability of LeisureWorld, Cork Autism and Irish Guide Dogs during her career – planning, developing and executing plans that met the core business objectives as well as achieving high end strategic goals. She is a graduate of UCC and NUI Maynooth, graduating with B.A and M.A respectively with specialisms in Music and English. She holds postgraduate diplomas in Management, Business Development, Digital Marketing and Strategy and Innovation from DIT, UCC and the IMI and was awarded Fundraising Ireland’s Fundraiser of the Year in 2014. She is currently completing a Masters in UCC in Voluntary Community Sector Management.





William McLoughlin BL is a practising barrister, member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI, London) and Global Securities Operations Irish Winner 2016 (CISI).

William practices in Data Protection, Employment and Judicial Review and provides data protection and employment policies, procedures and training that includes Continuing Professional Development (CPD) on GDPR and the new Data Protection Act 2018. William has designed third level courses for colleges and is delivering a Management Diploma in GDPR for Business at Independent College Dublin.

Josh Lucey



Every company needs a Bean Counter and Josh’s ours.  But he’s more than that – he’s also a Director of a Cancer Charity and is very active in a number of community initiatives around the Meath area. 



John has over 10 years experience working to grow, transform and improve organisations in various sectors.  John has worked as a Business Analyst Consultant in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) sector with a leading Irish BPO Company for 4 years. Prior to this he spent 6 years working as a retail project manager which gave me extensive people, sales, training, recruitment and operations management experience.
