Celebrating 1.2 Million Hours of Impact
Carmichael is celebrating a remarkable milestone this year, having delivered 1.2 million hours of service in support of Ireland’s community, voluntary and nonprofit sector. This achievement reflects decades of dedication to strengthening organisations, developing leaders, creating employment opportunities and supporting communities across the country.
The organisation continues to go from strength to strength. Demand for Carmichael’s Training & Consultancy services is at an all-time high, with more organisations seeking support in governance, leadership, strategy and organisational development. Meanwhile, the Carmichael Centre remains a thriving hub for the sector, operating at full occupancy and welcoming increasing numbers of organisations, visitors and event participants.
Carmichael’s Community Employment Programme is also making a significant impact, providing meaningful employment opportunities, building new sponsorship partnerships and supporting participants to progress into long-term careers. The programme also contributes an estimated €1 million in annual economic value through salaries and local spending.
Alongside its external impact, Carmichael continues to invest in its people through leadership development, wellbeing initiatives and a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and organisational culture. Innovation also remains a key priority, with new digital platforms, improved booking systems, refreshed branding, podcasts and resident spotlight campaigns helping to strengthen engagement across the sector.
