1.How do you usually start your day when nothing is pressing?
I am an early riser now, not all the time, but very often I would be at my desk at 7.30 am; it gives me time to settle in and fine-tune my day, including doing my social media.
2. Tea or coffee – and what’s your ideal cup?
Defo coffee, no sugar, no milk, rocket fuel x 3 per day or more, shush.
3. What’s a small routine or habit you quietly enjoy?
Buying my morning coffee in Third Space, a social enterprise on my way to work. I love doing good by buying social 
4. What song, book, or programme do you always return to?
I never read a book twice, so it’s got to be an album from the Vanns (any album), an Australian band.
5. What’s something people often get wrong about you?
My first name: the number of people who call me Pierre is simply astonishing.
6. What’s a moment in your life that changed how you see the world?
A few shaped how I see the world but being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes is certainly up there. I must make roughly 40 to 50 micro decisions a day to function, so it does definitely define my routine on a 24/7/365 day a year basis. That said, it does definitely not define me.
7. What values matter most to you when making difficult decisions?
That’s a tough one; I hope I show integrity, empathy, and humility.
8. What has leadership taught you about yourself?
I can’t do it alone, period.
9. What keeps you grounded when things feel demanding or uncertain?
My wife. Unlike me, she has a brain; I don’t tell her enough she is my best friend.
10. What always helps you switch off and reset?
I do quite a bit of running and cycling, and I go to gigs or listen to music (LOUD MUSIC )
11. What’s a simple pleasure that never fails to lift your mood?
There is a theme here, but coffee and a croissant in a coffee shop in any county or country.
12. If you had a completely free weekend, how would you spend it?
I used to do this quite a lot in my 20s, but I would love to go back to a multi-day music festival on the continent. Loud music mandatory, obviously.
13. What’s something you’re genuinely looking forward to this year?
I am in a new role, so I really look forward to becoming more comfortable in it and amplifying Carmichael’s impact.
14. What’s a joke, saying, or story that never fails to make you smile?
A very silly one, actually and it’s the first English-speaking joke I ever came across:
Knock, knock.
