What’s your idea of happiness and what makes you most uneasy?

Happiness is a walk by the beach listening to the sound of the waves followed by a nice hot cup of tea.

Driving the M50 or any busy road makes me very uneasy. You take your life in your hands. The days of courtesy are gone.

What do you fear most?

I fear that my grandchildren will grow up in a world where manners and respect are non-existent

Which person, past or present, do you most relate to and admire?

I admire all the siblings of children who are going through treatment for Childhood Cancer or any serious illness. They are resilient and amazing humans.

What traits do you most loathe in yourself and others?

Loath is a very strong word so I will say I dislike disrespect and failure to see things from another person’s perspective.

What’s your most embarrassing moment or regret?

I regret nothing and have had many embarring moments all involving falls.

One fall most recently being day 31 of 5k a day for 100 days for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. I had just come to the green where I live, I was at 4.90km nearly finished there I fell flat out in all my glory. Neighbours running to get my husband and helping me off up of the ground.  Thankfully the broken bones were in my arm and not my legs so I could continue to walk 5k a day for 100 days.

What’s your most unappealing habit or indulgence?

Not having patience with myself. I know things take time, but I want it done yesterday.

What do you always carry and what vehicle do you drive

Keys, purse phone. Knitting or crochet and snacks. I drive the charity car a Kuga and there would also be a chemo duck, an Aoibheann’s Pink Tie emergency pack, some Freddy vests.

Where and when have you been happiest?

First thing in the morning when I get to open my eyes and put my feet to the floor is makes me happy.

What do you find depressing or overrated?

I find it sad that we live in a culture where children being homeless is excepted.

How do you unwind or deal with solitude?

Knitting or crocheting, meditation, a long walk. I love spending time on my own.

What’s your fantasy or biggest journey?

Living to be 100 in a world where everyone is excepted for who or what they are.

What would your motto be?

We don’t have to like one another but we can respect each other

What’s your favourite smell, word, book, and building?

Smell: chocolate,

Word: I can’t write it here

Book: I’m not one for books but I did read Dr. Katriona O’Sullivan’s book Poor and all I can say is what a woman.

Building: my home

What keeps you awake at night?

Nothing comes between me and my sleep.

What’s your life motto or lesson learned?

I have many.

Favourite Joke:

Would you believe comedy doesn’t interest me.
