How do you usually start your day when nothing is pressing? 

I love to have a quick catch up with the staff where we talk about everything except work.

Tea or coffee – and what’s your ideal cup? 

Coffee strong and black unsweetened.

What’s a small routine or habit you quietly enjoy?

Cuddles with my elderly cats before work its very therapeutic.

What song, book, or programme do you always return to? 

I love the song Maniac by Michael Sembello as a mood up lifter or any ska or new romantic music from the 80’s.  

What’s something people often get wrong about you? 

That I don’t have children because I don’t like them, In fact I’m a very proud aunty to 14 and adore them all, I love the innocence and honesty you can only get from children. 

What’s a moment in your life that changed how you see the world? 

Realizing you can’t be or shouldn’t have to be perfect or conform to what society wants you to be. Finding beauty in failure and learning from mistakes empowers you more. 

What values matter most to you when making difficult decisions? 

Integrity, empathy, responsibility, fairness, and long-term impact.  

What has leadership taught you about yourself? 

You realize you don’t have all the answers and that a “yes-man” environment is detrimental. Admitting when you are wrong and being open to feedback requires humility and builds significant trust and loyalty within a team. 

What keeps you grounded when things feel demanding or uncertain? 

My partner he is my backbone and so supportive. 

What always helps you switch off and reset? 

Watching a Netflix series. 

What’s a simple pleasure that never fails to lift your mood? 

Going to the gym. 

If you had a completely free weekend, how would you spend it? 

Visiting family and friends or enjoying a meal out with friends. 

What’s something you’re genuinely looking forward to this year? 

Meeting up with my brother in law and his wife in Glasgow to celebrate her milestone birthday they are coming over from the Cook Islands.

An empty sack never stands, my grandfather always said this.
